Indoor Air Quality Investigation (IAQ)

On average, we spend about 90% of our time indoors.

Both building materials and office equipment may contain pollutants that potentially endanger human health. Especially in newly-built, renovated or redecorated office buildings, pollutants that are harmful to human health may be volatilized in these situations. Air conditioning and ventilation systems can also pose a threat to human health and well-being when they fail to maintain good hygiene.

Our experts can help you identify the pollutants in these occasions through appropriate investigation and analysis. Regular inspections of air conditioning and ventilation systems will also ensure that hygiene standards are well maintained in these systems.

Investigation of buildings and pollutants in buildings

If the cause of pollution can be clearly identified, customers can send samples to us. If not, our professional engineers will conduct an investigation of the building site and building materials through on-site equipment and record the top discoveries. Once the pollution source is located, indoor air, material samples or object surfaces will be sampled and sent to the laboratory for analysis. We will adopt the most appropriate methods and bases to analyze the samples and assess their impact on the customers. A written report containing a comprehensive assessment and further action recommendations will be submitted to the client.

Inspection of hygiene conditions

To regulate indoor temperature and create a pleasant and healthy working environment, air conditioning and ventilation systems are installed in modern office buildings. In addition to the regular service and operation inspections, they also need to conduct hygiene checks to ensure the health of the occupants. These inspections include checks on rooms equipped with air conditioning systems and tests for hygiene in the indoor air, filters, humidifiers and heat exchangers.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) : They can cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, irritation to the eyes, nose and throat, and worsen asthma symptoms. VOCs are commonly found in carpets, ethylene plastic flooring, waterproof and seepage prevention materials, and solvents.

Formaldyhyde: Formaldehyde can cause breathing difficulties and a burning sensation in the eyes, nose, throat and lungs. Formaldehyde is commonly found in building materials, indoor furniture and varnish.
